During the event, ITED L.L.C. received a recognition award from Solidar Suisse for its contribution to the successful implementation of the project.

A pioneering initiative in Work-Based Learning

The ProSkills project, implemented by ITED L.L.C. and funded by Solidar Suisse, began in 2017 as one of the pioneering initiatives supporting Work-Based Learning (WBL) in Kosovo.

During the first phase:

  • Local councils for vocational education and training were established
  • The initiative was implemented in two vocational schools in Peja
  • Four vocational profiles were introduced
  • Around 80 students participated

Expansion of the project

In the second phase, launched in 2020, the project expanded significantly.

Key achievements include:

  • Implementation in four municipalities
  • Involvement of six vocational schools
  • More than 1,000 students participating
  • Around 60 trained teachers
  • Over 90 partner businesses
  • 22 vocational profiles supported
  • Around 40 financial grants provided

These activities strengthened cooperation between schools and businesses and improved students’ practical skills.

Strengthening cooperation between schools and businesses

Over the past eight years, the project has contributed to building sustainable partnerships between vocational schools and companies.

Today, Work-Based Learning is implemented in partner schools in line with relevant legislation and administrative guidelines.

Appreciation to partners and stakeholders

During the closing ceremony, appreciation was expressed to all partners who contributed to the success of the project.

Special thanks were extended to:

  • Partner businesses for providing training opportunities
  • Vocational schools and teachers for their commitment
  • Municipalities for their support
  • Students for their active participation

A special acknowledgment was also given to Solidar Suisse for its continuous support.
